OUR RICH FABRIC
A very warm welcome to our website, and to Creative Oundle!
Having lived in the Oundle area for over 30 years, I’ve experienced firsthand the truly rich fabric of the local musical and artistic landscape. It’s therefore an immense privilege to have been elected Chair of Creative Oundle, an organisation which has led the way in this regard for almost forty years.
For us, as for many arts and musical charities, the years since the COVID-19 pandemic have not been easy. However, thanks to the work of our dedicated team members, trustees, volunteers and patrons, we have weathered this storm, and we’re delighted to have expanded our once week-long Festival into a year-round celebration of events, alongside our rejuvenated Cinema, and world-leading courses for young organists.
What has always impressed me about Creative Oundle is the breadth and diversity of our organisation – our events cover so many different genres, audiences and interests. To give you an example, alongside the cinema screenings and organ courses, our events range from musical concerts and theatre to comedy nights and the Open Gardens weekend – it’s tough even for me to keep up sometimes!
Excitingly, we’ll be celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2025, for which the Board and I have already kicked off the planning process. Keep your eyes out for more information on this.
We hope you enjoy browsing our website, learning more about our events, history and team members. Hopefully we can welcome you to our town and community soon!
