COfO was fortunate to receive generous support from Alan Saggerson, honouring the memory of his mother, Margaret Saggerson. This donation kindly sponsors one of our Summer School tutors, as well as a COIF organ recital by another tutor.
2023’s Margaret Saggerson Memorial Tutor has been announced as David Pipe, Director of the Keyboard Studies Programme and Cathedral Organist in the Diocese of Leeds who will be joining this years Summer School program to share his vast experience – before performing this years memorial recital
on Monday July 10th at St Marys Church in Titchmarsh.
The organ at St Mary’s is one of the area’s finest and most versatile instruments. David will put it through its paces in a richly varied programme of music: Buxtehude, Henry Smart, and contemporary composer Celia McDowall all feature. But before settling in to enjoy the musical riches, why not indulge in some tasty cake and a refreshing cup of tea (or two)?
