Directed by Alexander Payne, the film follows two friends, Miles and Jack, as they embark on a road trip through California wine country. Along the way, they encounter various misadventures, leading to moments of self-discovery and reflection.
The movie not only garnered critical acclaim but also resonated with audiences for its authentic portrayal of friendship, personal struggles, and the complexities of romance. Sideways became a cultural phenomenon, propelling its actors and director into the spotlight and making wine tasting a popular activity for many.

The Comedy series kicked off with a bang on the 20th September at Queen Victoria Hall, with Hitz Unadkat, David Eagle and compered by Sarah Johnson. It was a fabulous evening with lots of laughs and was a great way to spend an Autumn evening now the nights are drawing in.

With a fantastic line-up it promises to be an evening of outstanding entertainment bringing together a host of amazing talent. On the bill will be Mark Maiera multi-award-winning comedian who is no stranger to either television or BBC radio shows; the wonderful Adele Cliff short-listed for Funniest Joke of the Fringe Award (2021) and winner of the UK Pun Championship; as well as the brilliant Joe Sutherland who has appeared on Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Hypothetical (Dave),The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and even Eastenders!
A limited number of early bird tickets are available for every show. Everyone of our previous shows sold out so book now to avoid disappointment.
