Tea-time Organ Recital by David Pipe
What’s happening? Delicious cake, tea and a virtuoso performer in a beautiful village church: the perfect end to a Monday afternoon!
The organ at St Mary’s Titchmarsh is one of the area’s finest and most versatile instruments. David Pipe, Director of the Keyboard Studies Programme and Cathedral Organist in the Diocese of Leeds, and Margaret Saggerson Memorial Tutor on the 2023 Summer School for young organists, will put it through its paces in a richly varied programme of music: Buxtehude, Henry Smart, and contemporary composer Celia McDowall all feature. But before settling in to enjoy the musical riches, why not indulge in some tasty cake and a refreshing cup of tea (or two)?
