Young Artists’ Programme Lunchtime Recital – Magnus Walker tenor, Gus Tredwell piano

Tickets:  £7
Live stream access: £5

Please note: subject to confirmation we hope to hold all Young Artists’ Programme Recitals in St Peter’s Church

The second of our two Royal Academy of Music recitals is given by the young British baritone, Magnus Walker accompanied by Gus Tredwell.

They explore music born of the complicated relationship between the Schumanns and Brahms. Brahms was hopelessly in love with Clara Schumann and supported her through Robert’s illness and death. Brahms and Clara were life-long friends, maybe more but we know not.

Their programme includes songs by Brahms and Clara Schumann as well as Robert Schumann’s song cycle, Liederkreis.

Supported by: Ewan and Jenny Harper
